my vintage store guide

[where I spend my money]

from nyc to tokyo, these are some hidden gem stores I've discovered along the way. featuring a few of the items I was lucky enough to find.

PARIS:

Nuovo 130 Rue de Turenne, 75003

the definition of small but mighty. this store may only feature two short clothing racks but the curation is immaculate. overflowing with plein sud tops and dresses, this is the place to find your dream black mohair sweater or leather capri pants. a must stop on any trip to paris.

Bobby 168 Rue du Temple, 75003 & 89 Rue Réaumur, 75002 (2 locations)

be prepared to spend at least two wonderful hours searching through bobby. a huge selection of clothes, shoes, accessories, and bags with a mix of high-end designer and more affordable vintage pieces. don’t forget to check out the basement section for the best pant selection. a second location opened recently so now there’s even more to look through.

COPENHAGEN:

Qilden Valkendorfsgade 19, 1217

a recently opened vintage boutique with items curated from italy and the best selection of kitten heals. amazingly curated with flowy summer skirts and matching suit sets, qilden was my go to while living in copenhagen. the special flee market events are also worth stopping by.

Jerome/Rosy Vesterbrogade 36, 1620

probably the sleekest and chicest vintage store around, jerome and rosy vintage share a studio space with floor to ceiling windows, chrome accents, and a pink sink. a small side room holds couture designer pieces like hermes blazers and galliano silk dresses. the best part is that the rest of the store is filled with affordable gems like diesel jeans, cashmere turtlenecks and chanel flip-flops. the dressing room also has the best photo lighting in the city.

lamb leather jacket $40

Von Eco Vesterbrogade 32, 1620

black moto jacket $14

listed on google maps as an “organic shop” that sells soap and bath products, von eco isn’t your typical vintage store. stop by for the best leather jacket selection, dozens of levis, and a surprising selection of burberry and moschino.

TOKYO:

Kindal [franchise so several in different neighborhoods]

stocked with miyake pleats please

tokyo vintage shopping is another breed. dominated by franchises like kindal and ragtag that sell the best pieces designer vintage has to offer. yohji yamamoto, comme des garçon, issey miyake and junya watanabe run this place. let’s just say im glad they do. after 5 days in tokyo, I accumulated quite the haul just by going around the different neighborhoods and finding a kindal or ragtag wherever I went. [perhaps the best city to thrift designer vintage?] oh and the prices are almost too good to be true !

BARCELONA:

Los Feliz Carrer de Cervantes, 5, Ciutat Vella, 08002

had heard online that los Feliz had done the wardrobe for season 2 of white lotus so I had to check it out when in barcelona. walked away with a JPG top and two plein sud long sleeves. I was very happy the rest of the day. come for the unique showstopper pieces but also the great selection of classic basics.

AMSTERDAM:

Laan Utrechtsedwarsstraat 65 H, 1017 WC

[the aftermath]

this place wasn’t even on my list before visiting amsterdam. I was chatting with the barista at a cafe nearby when she mentioned laan was having their winter archive that day. ended up finding 3 prada jackets, a dolce gabbana top and a miu mu dress for $20. to this day this is the best haul I’ve ever had and I have the barista to thank. also met a friend here while in line for the dressing room and we met up in copenhagen a few weeks later. good memories from laan.

FLORENCE:

Street Doing Via dei Servi, 88/r, 50122

I didn’t have much luck thrifting in florence except for my win at street doing. acquiring a vintage burberry trench had been on my mind for the past two years. found my 1980s mens burberry here and never looked back. this trench has become a staple in my closet and I know I’ll never let it go. so for that, street doing made the list.
