my coffee table books of choice
sometimes I do judge a book by its cover, but that’s exclusively for coffee table books. collected from used bookstores around the world, this is a little peak at my much larger coffee table book collection. i always loved picture book as a kid. now they can just litter my apartment…
all about yohji yamamoto from 1968
the perfume companion
purchased online during my intense perfume phase in versailles while studying the art of fragrance. this one is actually more practical than it seems. it may not offer perfume samples of the fragrance for you to sniff but the worded descriptions are pretty dead on
1920s berlin
drawn to the otto dix portrait on the cover, i got this book as a souvenir during my visit to the Neue gallery in nyc. German art isn’t usually what i’m drawn to but this book offers a quick glimpse due to its thinness
sofia coppola archive
it may have taken me months to pick this one up but that was only due to its heft overpowering my carry-on luggage. but the simplicity of that bubble gum pink cover and its inclusion of marie-antoinette and lost in translation bts (perhaps my 2 fav movies) was reason enough to purchase.

accidentally wes anderson
renoir impressionist art book
one of my favorite french painters, its no wonder I added this one to my collection when I found it buried in the shelves of an old book store in atlanta. Renoir’s thick and fluffy brush strokes and his distinct inclusion of rosy cheeks makes his work memorable to me. love to pick this one up when i’m craving some nostalgia of the orangerie or orsay museums.
found this one at an enormous coffee table book like library store that stood in a middle of an outdoor shopping center in daikanyama
you knew it was coming. because what girl doesn’t own the sofia coppola archive these days. well I certainly do. she’s the mother of coffee table books.
always front and center on my coffee table, this is my go-to flip through book when I'm looking for inspiration or just need nostalgia from great movies
was looking to learn more about designers so found this book recommended on amazon for $10. I don’t know how it was that cheap because it’s definitely worth a lot more than that. the book features 150 top designers and the signature staples of their work. I love to flip to a random page and learn about another designer. the best combo of stunning and educational.
a gift from my sweet grandmother who knows I adore the wes Anderson aesthetic. this book features the submissions of random people to a blog titled accidentally wes anderson that tracks real-life locations that resemble anderson’s movie sets. it’s fun to see where wes anderson may have gotten some of his inspiration or where he might go to get some more.
